Holiday Shopping

Buffy smiled up at Spike and tightened her grip on his hand as they strolled through Covent Garden window shopping.

"What?"

"I'm happy."

He gave her a suspicious look then winced as the sun broke from behind clouds and shown down on them. "Never going to get used to this feeling."

"It's called warmth," she teased.

"Only bloody warmth there is out here. I'd forgotten how cold London can be in the Winter." He hunched deeper into his duster. "Maybe you can get me a scarf for Christmas, and some earmuffs."

"The scarf, sure, but no guy of mine is wearing earmuffs."

"Randy wore them."

Buffy snorted. "Yeah, and he was a total nerd."

"Was not."

"I don't date total nerds."

"Randy could easily have gotten in Joan's knickers."

"Randy couldn't have gotten in Joan's anything. She was so not into him." Buffy grinned at him to let him know she was teasing, then tugged him into a lingerie shop. "Plus, he would never have thought to buy her frilly nothings."

"What frilly....oh..." Spike leered at her in understanding and headed immediately for the frilly sheer nothing section of bras and knickers and suspenders. "Though leather might be nice, too." He detoured when he saw the same in black leather and metal buckles.

Buffy laughed. "And Randy was never a pervert either." But she fingered a leather bustier and pondered his probable reaction.

Even human now after the Shanshu, he had great staying power. Still, sometimes it was fun to make him pop at the sight of her.

Grinning wickedly, she snatched up a couple leather pieces, told him to behave, and headed for the changing room.

Spike pulled out his wallet and contemplated which of Angel's credit cards to charge this bill to.
