ABOUT THE SITE |
The Lawrence Durrell Archive has been a project of mine on and off since 1996. In that time, it has suffered more neglect than it has merited, but I am now hoping to change all of that with the first thorough, comprehensive update since it's creation. The devil of it all, if you will pardon my saying so, is finding the time. Please bear with me as I try to assemble a large number of disparate pieces into something resembling the coherent vision of the site as it exists in my mind's eye. For those interested in technical aspects, this site is built on Macintoshes (a variety of them), using BBEdit, Adobe PageMill and, increasingly, Adobe GoLive. All images and content are either believed to be in the public domain or are used for educational purposes.
