Monthly MeetingsLogo

Our meetings are the second Monday of the month, at the Town Hall Center, Garnett, KS at 7:00 p.m. We have How-to programs, and visitors are always welcomed to attend.  Some months are work nights where you can bring your research and receive help and suggestions from others.

Rarely but occasionally due to schedule conflicts, we are unable to hold our meetings there. In that case our meetings are held at the United Brethren Church, Garnett, KS. If you live out of town and are interested in attending our meetings, please write to Anderson County Genealogical Society, P. O. Box 194, Garnett, KS 66032 for time and place.

Workshops and Ancestor Fair

ACGS holds an Ancestor Fair and a Workshop every year. (See Annual Workshop) If you are unfamiliar with what an Ancestor Fair is, it's an opportunity to bring your work, research, notebooks or whatever information you have. Then other folks that visit can also come and see if you are researching the same lines they are. The workshops are usually an all day event where classes are held to help the genealogist/family history researcher to improve their skills or pick up ideas of what will help advance their research.
